Nakki Lake Mount Abu
Nakki Lake in Mount Abu defines romance in Rajasthan correctly. Named as Mount Abu of Love Lake, it is also the largest man-made lake situated at an altitude of 11,000 meters in India. It is also a sacred lake for the Garasia tribe of Rajasthan and during the festival of Shukla, which comes in the month of April, it is the place of worship and remembrance of their ancestors. It has been told in a historical story that it was dug by nails by the gods for the protection of demon ‘Bashkali’. Another romantic history was of Rasiya Balam, which was an idol of Dilwara Jain temple and the daughter of kings was the virgin daughter named. The King challenged to dig the lake in one night and he will marry his daughter to him. It is believed that Rasia Balam dug the lake overnight with his nails. Later, the queen refused to marry her daughter.
Some also believed that Ryoya Balam was an old sage and was the incarnation of Lord Shiva and Kishore Maa was the incarnation of Parvati. Due to betrayal, they will come again to fulfill their love. The famous poem “Lost Love” describes his story very well.

Niki is a very quiet and romantic atmosphere all around the lake. It is very close to the Maharaja Jaipur Palace in Shri Raghunathji Temple, Todd Rock, and Mount Abu. Bandit love, the sunset point is located near it. On February 12, 1948, the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi were completely immersed in the lake and with this Gandhi, Ghat was built.
