Maharana Pratap Memorial Udaipur
Maharana Pratap Memorial is a historical place dedicated to the gallant Maharana Pratap. Situated on the top of Moti Margi or Pearl Hill, the monument sees Fateh Sagar Lake. In Hindi, the monument is known as “mnemonic” and momma is always made in the memory of loved ones. Maharana Pratap Memorial was constructed by Maharana Bhagwat Singh Mewar with the help of public trust.
The monument contains an intimate bronze statue of Maharana Pratap, which is balanced on his loyal and favorite horse Chetak. It is believed that Chetak was a faithful horse. He was very protective towards Maharana Pratap and stood with his master till his last breath. Chetak was killed in the Battle of Haldighati. People visit this memorial to pay homage to Rajput Nayak, Rana Pratap, and his loyal Mount ‘Chetak’.

From the comfortable elevation of the hill, you can click some of the finest pictures of Udaipur city. One can also see the remains of a fascinating Japanese rock garden and a fort of Udaipur, which are situated near this hill.
