Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary Rajasthan
Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary is a major attraction for tourists coming to Udaipur. This sanctuary belongs to Rajsamand district of Rajasthan. Kuhlulghad Park is situated at 65 km from Udaipur on Udaipur-Pali-Jodhpur road. If you are a wild-life lover, then this is an ideal place for you. Spread over an area of 578 sq km, Kumbhalgarh sanctuary surrounds the vast fort of Kumbhalgarh. This Wildlife Park has named its name from the same fort.
Across the Aravalli Range, Kumbhalgarh sanctuary covers parts of Rajsamand, Udaipur and Pali districts. Sanctuary forms the home of many endangered species of wildlife. Sanctuary provides natural habitat to many creatures such as Wolf, Leopard, Sloth bear, Hyena, Ceyer, Jungle Cat, Sambhar, Nilgai, Chausingha (Four Horn Deer), Chinkara and Green. In fact, Kumbhalgarh is the only sanctuary in Rajasthan, where you can find wolves engaged in your activities.
There are more than forty wolves in this sanctuary. In summer, anyone can easily find the pack of wolves roaming around water sources in the sanctuary. If you find your interest in birds, here you can see many kinds of birds. In the park, you can see the gray jungle fowl, which are usually inhibited. Peacocks and pigeons also attract attention from their charm. Apart from this, birds like Red Spore Ovals, Paracets, Golden Orol, Bulbul, Pigeons, Gray Doves, and White Breasted Kingfishers are approaching the water hole.
Various types of vegetation are also enjoyed in the Kumbhalgarh sanctuary which has many tree plants and herbal properties. You can also make a safari trip to enjoy the natural habitat of these birds and animals. Every year, Kumbhalgarh attracts many tourists for its natural beauty.
