KULDHARA A HAUNTED VILLAGE NEAR JAISALME

We meet with a head on the way leading towards a haunted abandoned village, near Jaisalmer in Rajasthan.
You do not wake up every day from the news of Jaisalmer flooding the streets. And inside the Rajmahal Fort in Suryagarh, seeing the monsoon rain from the desert in my window, I was longing for the exit and was absorbed in the environment. And this is when I have heard about the story of Paliwal Brahmins. Set 200 years ago, it was the story of a community which had disappeared overnight, to leave a ghost behind the village to tell its story. A haunted night in a village called Kuldhara near Jaisalmer was organized by Suryagad at night, but it was also tempting to explore the abandoned village during the day.
A continuous rain followed us on the road but it was magical to feel the crowd of monsoons in deserts. We saw an oasis almost everywhere because the water flows through low lying areas and flows on the streets. Pregnant with the rain, the dark clouds hanging over the sky. The baked dessert was only ready to embrace the bottom. And the local people were celebrating, as we met on some roads, which were participating in their homes for lunch.
The desert was looking terrible, but here we were on a terrible road. We made one round and reached Kuldhara. An old man wearing white clothes, playing a long flowing gray beard appears to be moving from anywhere, almost one is watching himself. She was feeling a bit anxious about her. The wrinkles around their faces and their eyes wore a story of their own, but they were more interested in the story of Paliwal Brahmins, who lived here in the 18th century.

The legend of Kuldhara
The Paliwals were harassed by the local feudal or ruler and they were given large amounts of money in the form of taxes. But on a fine day, the ruler apparently made an eye on one of the girls of the community, who was probably the daughter of the chief. The Paliwals were not given any option in the matter and they had only one day to accept their proposal. Recovering from repentance and desperation, the entire community left behind their homes and chiles, barking the king and escaping the death of the night.
To reach the terrace we climbed a small flight of steps inside an abandoned house and saw broken ruins of the village. The thunder of water reflects the accumulated ruins in tight streets

Is Kuldhara a ghost town ?
Many stories went around here Some people say that “Chaddel” or ghosts roam in the night, harass this place. Others say that nobody remains here because mysterious deaths have occurred. The silence was not relaxing. And then the voice of the old man floats in the air. “No one knew anything about them, some say that they had come from Jodhpur, some say that they went back to shift, but only their souls now rest in Kuldhara.”

You can hear the story here from the caretaker, who hears it in his wayward style, though he rejects the haunting bit below. Watch the video below and see the detailed post here.
