Jaisalmer Fort is known locally as Sonar Fort, which is one of the world’s largest fortresses located in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer city of Rajasthan. It was built by Bhati Rajput ruler Rao Jaisal in 1156 AD, from which it generates its name.
